Nola (Orange Edition)

Banksy

NOLA was released in late 2008 as a limited edition of 63 prints signed and numbered (This being a special AP edition with a run of 32 prints.) NOLA originally appeared in New Orleans (New Orleans Louisiana) with a series of others on the street by Banksy in September 2008. It is a breathtakingly beautiful image of a young girl torn between cowering from the rain or choosing to embrace nature. This contradictory demeanour is encapsulated in the way in which she both takes shelter under her dripping umbrella but also outstretches her right hand to feel the immanence of the elements.
