Cranio

Cranio

Fabio Oliveira, better known as Cranio “Skull” was born in 1982 and grew up in the north of Sao Paulo. Cranio started painting in 1998, being a part of the Brazilian Pixacao movement that was happening during that time. His styles and ideas have changed and adapted, and Fabio always likes to include his ideologies based on the traditions of Brazilian Culture, and even aims to include the Brazil Flag colourway in each and everyone one of his outdoor/indoor works.

A major inspiration for Cranio is the works of Surrealist master Salavador Dali, He also tries to encapsulate the aesthetics and themes present in Classic, International cartoons. Cranio combines his classical influences with his comment on more contemporary issues, such as Westernisation, Capitalism, consumerism, identity issues, corruption and global politics.
