Jaune is a stencil artist originally from Brussels born in 1986 Belgium and he has become famous for his installations.
Jaune is famous for his “Waste Disposal Experts” are unique and immediately recognisable, they are not only amusing but they have a certain amount of heroism about them and are intended to be “Thought Provoking” to make you think again and notice the invisible people that work tirelessly to keep our cities clean.
Jaune’s work is humorous and according to the artist, “based on the paradox between the visible and the invisible, with sanitation workers the main protagonists in my humorous installations and paintings – an idea that was born from my own experience working in the profession.”
These little men can be found in different positions, sometimes doing their job, sometimes just slacking off and looking around. Jaune makes them visible and gives us a new perspective on these sanitation workers, by putting them in funny situations that will at least make anyone smile, sometimes even a chuckle. Jaune has worked on his idea of invisible little dudes aka “Trash Collectors” and you can see some of his work on the streets, some extremely small, some big but always in humorous or interesting situations.
He has created installations and street art all over the world as well as having curated live painting events.
